About Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garwal University (HNBGU)

The University was established in 1973 under the provisions of Uttar Pardesh State Universities act. The name of the university was rechristened to Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University in 1989 and subsequently established as Central University under the provision of the Central Universities Ordinance in 2009. University is among the ten largest Universities of the country with 3 campuses and more than 180 affiliated colleges and institutes (both state run/aided and self financed) with its Headquarters at Srinagar. University is providing the both graduate and post graduate courses. Srinagar has strongly emerged as a centre of higher learning and research with the establishment of the University.

Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University Admission 2019

HNB Garhwal University admission procedure for a majority of Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses requires students to appear for an entrance exam conducted by the varsity. However, for some course admission students also need to appear for an interview round after giving the exam.

Also, it may be noted that for admission in MBA and B.Tech courses the varsity accepts scores of All India Tests. For MBA admissions the university accepts CAT/ MAT/ CMAT scores and for B Tech course admissions the varsity accepts JEE (Main) scores.

The admission procedure for MBA and B Tech courses is such that once students get their respective All India Test scores, they need to appear for a counselling session at HNB University. In the counseling session, students are allotted seats in their respective courses on the basis of merit.
